    No, you will receive an official Boston University diploma. Our online master's degrees carry the same excellence as those earned in a traditional classroom setting.

  2. How is this program accredited?
    The New England Association of Schools and Colleges accredits Boston University.

  3. How long is the program?
    The program is 40 credit hours of coursework and may be completed in 20 months. There are two courses per semester with each course lasting seven weeks.

  4. How many credits and courses do I take each semester?
    You will enroll in two four-credit hour courses each semester for a total of eight credits each semester.

  5. How much does the program cost?

  6. I'm interested in applying, but unsure as to how I can pay!
    Private educational loans are available for those enrolled in the master's program at Boston University. An Admissions Representative will be happy to make some suggestions for you and equip you with student loan websites and phone numbers.

  7. Can I use my GI Bill or VA Assistance to pay for this program?
    Yes, you can use your GI Bill or VA assistance to pay for your tuition. For more information about procedures, please contact an Admissions Representative.

  8. My employer reimburses for a certain portion of the tuition. Does Boston University offer any payment plans?
    Students being reimbursed partially or 100 percent can apply for the tuition deferment program. The program allows students to waive 75 percent of the tuition for the semester until the completion of the semester. In order to apply for the tuition deferment program students have to be registered at the University. For more information on this deferment program please contact an Admissions Representative.

  9. May I transfer credit into the program?
    Transfer of academic credit may be awarded provided the courses are appropriate for the program. Following acceptance, it is possible for students to transfer a maximum of eight credit hours from an accredited university. Courses must be graduate-level with a B or better and completed within four years prior to matriculation. Transfer of credit cannot be from another degree program that the student will complete or has completed.

  10. When do I start the program?
    You may enter the program six times per year during any semester — spring, summer, or fall.

  11. How much time is required in this program?
    Most students spend approximately 20 hours per week on course work. This will vary by course and the student's familiarity with the material.

  12. My home computer is rather old. Will it be able to handle the course requirements?

    The minimum passing grade for a course in the graduate program is C. Please remember that you must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) in the ten courses requirements and be permitted to graduate.
